About the Role 

 

We are seeking a full time Maintenance Technician to join the SEA LIFE team. The role will be predominately daytime hours, however, due to the attraction operating 7 days a week, some weekend work will be necessary, along with participating in an ‘on-call’ roster. 

 

Working with the Head of Technical Services, your role is to ensure all aspects of building are in good working order to smooth business operations. This includes: 

 

  • Assisting with the day-to-day maintenance, including repairs and maintenance of Life Support Systems and all building systems 

  • Test and Tag to AS3760, as well as maintaining the database 

  • Performing diagnostics and repairing small refrigeration systems. 

  • Performing repair, general and preventative maintenance work of facilities, buildings, grounds, and equipment including, mechanical, carpentry and plumbing tasks. 

  • Resolving building alarms, both onsite and remotely. 

  • Assist with contractor and supplier management. 

 

About You 

 

You will be highly self-motivated with the experience in building maintenance. Holding an ‘A’ grade Electrician licence alongside Australian cabler registration is considered advantageous but not required.  

 

This is a fast paced, guest facing environment – no two days are the same - so the ability to think on your feet, problem solve and use your initiative will be key in this role.  

 

You are a strong communicator and are able to build rapport across the business. Your ability to have a flexible and adaptable approach along with demonstrated planning, organisational and time management skills are desired.
