Are you ready to dive into an exciting opportunity where every day feels like an adventure? SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium is searching for enthusiastic, ocean-loving individuals to join the team as a casual and part-time Ride and Experience Hosts!

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a RIDE AND EXPERIENCE HOST, you are the heartbeat of every guest’s visit to SEA LIFE Sydney, and a spokesperson for all the incredible aquatic creatures that call the attraction home. You will combine guest service, safety, and presentation skills with JAW-some knowledge about the ocean to consistently deliver an exceptional experience for our guests.

Responsibilities:

• Engaging Guests: Bring smiles and excitement to visitors of all ages by providing outstanding customer service, sharing WOW facts, and ensuring everyone enjoys their time at the aquarium. Initiating these interactions is a must!
• Leading Experiences: Guide and host our Penguin Expedition Boat Ride and tours, such as the Behind the Scenes experience.
• Safety First: Ensure the safety and well-being of our guests while they explore our exhibits and safely enjoy the Penguin Expedition Boat Ride.
• Team Collaboration: Work alongside a passionate team of ocean, safety, and guest experience fanatics!
• Conservation: Inspire guests with knowledge about marine life and the importance of ocean conservation, encouraging them to protect our oceans and to engage in our charity, SEA LIFE TRUST.

ABOUT YOU

To shine in this role you will have...

• Excellent customer service skills
• A strong interest and desire to learn about marine life and conservation - passion is more important than knowledge!
• Strong communication skills - confidence to speak to guests one on one or to a group
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong time management skills, and ability to follow daily rotations.
• Ability to prioritise and show initiative while delivering world-class service.
• Enthusiasm and a drive to deliver an exceptional guest experience for every guest that comes through our doors.
• Hold Health and Safety guidelines and practices in extremely high regard, and be able to practically enforce safety rules.

The tides never stop and we don’t either here at SEA LIFE Sydney, this role will work on a rotating roster over 7 days, all year round. Weekend, holidays and public holiday work is a must as a business that operates around peak periods.
