LEGOLAND® Discovery Melbourne is seeking Melbourne’s biggest LEGO® fan to fill 2 part-time positions as Master Model Builders! (Flexibility around hours and days for the right applicants)

These hands-on positions will be responsible for inspiring and engaging with thousands of children who LOVE LEGO as well as maintaining and developing new features and building new models here at LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Melbourne!

About The Role

As a Master Model Builder at LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Melbourne, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Create awe-inspiring LEGO models that will leave guests and the media wowed!
  • Interact with guests and ignite their passion for building and designing incredible LEGO creations in our play zones.
  • Unleash your imagination to design one-of-a-kind play experiences as part of our Creative Workshop and LEGO Little Play Squad.
  • Take the lead in conceptualising, designing, producing, and installing events both internally and externally, and showcase your hosting and MC skills.
  • Be the face of LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Melbourne and represent LEGO as an ambassador. You will create and deliver engaging social media content and confidently handle media interviews across various platforms.
  • Uphold the highest standards for all brick-related products, including the maintenance and cleanliness of MINILAND and all models.

You will work closely with the Master Model Builder team, our frontline operational team, and management to create, implement and drive LEGO build strategies to exceed guest’s expectations.

Our attraction includes multiple zones, 2 rides, 2 separate soft play areas, a 4D cinema, Virtual Reality pods, plus LOTS of other amazing LEGO-themed fun areas – and you will be our onsite Master Model Builder making sure our guests have the most marvelous time!  

 

 

About You

Here are some of the things we think you might need to shine in this role:

  • A strong knowledge and understanding of LEGO design and building
  • An innate desire to inspire, motivate and engage with LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Melbourne’s guests.
  • Have strong, customer-focused experience in a fast-paced, busy environment
  • Will be a strong communicator and able to build rapport with a diverse range of guests and colleagues
  • Strong planning, organisational and time management skills are essential
  • You will adept at multi-tasking have a flexible and adaptable approach and know how to meet deadlines
  • You will also be confident being the face of LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Melbourne and will embody the LEGO values of imagination, creativity, fun, learning, caring and quality.
  • And our personal favourite... At all times, you will remember your role is to inspire the builders of tomorrow -what a gig, and something we are VERY passionate about.
  • Successful candidates will have to provide a valid Victorian Working with Children Check
